About Us
The Stephanie A. Wynn Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was established in 2021 following founder Stephanie Wynn’s transformative near-death experience with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, specifically Crohn’s Disease. This pivotal experience deepened her appreciation for survival and illuminated the critical need to provide healthcare and financial resources for improving the health and wellness of individuals and communities living with chronic Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), with special attention to those facing the greatest health disparities and barriers to care.
Our Mission
To eliminate health disparities and improve outcomes for individuals and communities affected by Inflammatory Bowel Diseases through comprehensive support services, with priority given to underserved populations facing the greatest barriers to healthcare.
Our Vision
To enhance the quality of life for all individuals affected by Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease by ensuring equitable access to healthcare, financial support, and community resources. We envision a future where zip code, economic status, or demographic background does not determine health outcomes, with particular focus on eliminating the disproportionate burden of IBD in communities with the greatest health disparities.

About The Founder

Stephanie A. Wynn is an author, IBD survivor, speaker, philanthropist, and IBD Patient Navigator®. The Stephanie A. Wynn Foundation, Inc., was established following her transformative near-death experience with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, specifically Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. This pivotal experience deepened her appreciation for survival and illuminated the critical need to provide healthcare and financial resources for improving the health and wellness of individuals living with chronic Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), particularly those in communities facing significant health disparities.
Stephanie understands what it means to navigate tough challenges with grit and determination. She has never allowed her struggle with Inflammatory Bowel Disease to define her limitations. Instead, Stephanie believes the resilience and other qualities required to heal from her chronic health condition are exactly the same strengths that have helped her thrive in all areas of life.
Stephanie has first-hand experience with the complex challenges that individuals in underserved communities face when seeking life-sustaining, quality healthcare and financial resources. She knows the frustration of learning that prescription medication costs have increased substantially without notice. Stephanie also understands the emotional impact when the disease affects the body at unexpected moments, potentially leading to embarrassment and isolation.
Our Organizational Goals To implement a proactive and comprehensive approach to helping all individuals and communities affected by Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease thrive, with priority focus on those experiencing the greatest health disparities and barriers to accessing quality care and resources.
